Message from the Principal

 

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at May River High School! It is with great pride, gratitude, and excitement that I welcome you to another incredible year in Shark Nation. Whether you are returning to May River or joining our school community for the first time, we are excited to have you with us as we begin a new year filled with opportunity, growth, and success.

Serving as the principal of May River High School is truly an honor. Having spent the past ten years at May River in other capacities, I have witnessed firsthand what makes this school so special. It is our people from our outstanding students, dedicated faculty and staff, supportive families, and community partners who have built a culture of excellence. Together, we have created a school where students are challenged academically, encouraged to pursue their passions, and supported in reaching their full potential.

May River High School offers exceptional opportunities for every student. From rigorous Advanced Placement, Cambridge, Dual Enrollment, and Career and Technical Education programs to award-winning fine arts, championship athletics, student leadership, clubs, and service organizations. Our students are encouraged to discover their strengths and prepare for success beyond graduation. We celebrate these accomplishments while continually seeking new ways to grow and improve.

We will continue building upon the strong foundation that already exists while embracing new opportunities to learn, lead, innovate, and serve. We are proud of what May River has accomplished during its first decade, but we firmly believe our best days are still ahead. I encourage students to become involved, challenge themselves, support one another, and make the most of every opportunity this year.
