Elandee (Dee Dee) Thompson, Assistant Principal

The 2021-22 school year marks my 24th year in education, and my eighth year as a school administrator. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught science and math at the middle school level, as well as Biology, Physical Science, and Wildlife Ecology at the high school level. I received my Bachelor degree from Winthrop University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Masters degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate enrolled in Liberty University’s Curriculum and Instruction program.
I am married to the absolute love of my life, Michael, who is a Spanish teacher here in BCSD. We have three children who even as teens and adults keep us very busy! When not working or studying, I enjoy reading, crafting, and cooking, which includes an eternal passion for my grill and my smoker! I am excited to serve as a member of the MRHS team!
